PK Recruitment Agency took part in an international camp in Rome, Italy, organized specifically for prospective student-athletes from across Europe. The event brought together coaches from various U.S. universities. The camp lasted one week and was divided into two parts – the first half was dedicated to girls, and the second to boys.
The main goal of the camp was to provide coaches with the opportunity to observe the participants’ performance and identify the most suitable athletes for their university programs. If interested, coaches had the option to offer full athletic scholarships to candidates.
During the camp, our agency successfully exchanged experience with our official partner in Italy, as well as with an agency responsible for student-athlete placements in Turkey. A major part of the stay was dedicated to building connections and sharing information between our team and the U.S. university coaches.
The discussions covered future events, the specific needs of university teams in terms of positions and player profiles, as well as the latest changes in the NCAA volleyball regulations. Special attention was given to introducing the coaches to the Bulgarian system of volleyball player development.
Maintaining close relationships and active communication with coaches is a key element in increasing success rates when securing universities for our student-athletes. All attending coaches represented Division I programs with large budgets and excellent opportunities, and each of them expressed strong interest in future direct collaboration with the agency.
